CASTLE HILL
Entrance is free! Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau) is more of an impressive hill than a castle. Even though most of the original Chateau de Nice structure has crumbled away, we still recommend climbing the hundreds of steps to the top. At the top you’ll find a sweeping panorama of Nice and the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels), and a park area perfect for picnics and walks.

Cours Saleya Morning Market
Cours Saleya market in Nice is at the heart of the Old Town and it’s always pulsating with life. Striped awnings cover its centre and shelter the products on offer in the daily market. Crowds of locals and tourists come here to do their produce, flower, art, and spice shopping. Cours Saleya hosts four different markets. The most well known is the Marché aux Fleurs, or Flower Market, held typically Tuesday through Sunday.

Promenade des Anglais in Nice
The Promenade is the most famous stretch of seafront in Nice – if not France. It is a paved path/promenade that runs for the whole 4km sweep of the France Coastline. It’s a great place to walk, run, people watch or get a workout in with a dedicated lane for cyclists and skaters; if you feel like joining them, you can rent skates, scooters and bikes from Roller Station.
